Charlie Blacklock, past president of the International Musical Saw Players Association, passed away on April 18th, 2008.
The next Saw Player's Picnic and Music Festival at Roaring Camp near Santa Cruz, California, will be held on Sunday, August 14, 2010. See official web site for details. A highlight each year is the "Chorus of Saws", all saw players on stage at one time. Most years there are over thirty saw players and several other supporting instruments. Also, many musicians arrive a day early and meet on the street in Santa Cruz to play in front of the statue of Tom Scribner.
